Here is what we'll be using this year!
Thing One:
Math - Teaching Textbooks, Algebra 1
Language Arts - Literary Lessons from Lord of the Rings
Flash Kids Language Arts - 8th Grade (Harcourt)
Foreign Language - Latin (He'll attend a homeschool class for this.)
History - Modern American History (Post Civil War to Present) - Easy Peasy
Thing Two:
Math - Teaching Textbooks, Pre-Algebra
Language Arts - Flash Kids Language Arts - 6th Grade (Harcourt)
Easy Peasy Site - English
Foreign Language - Spanish 1 - Easy Peasy
History - Modern American History (Post Civil War to Present) - Easy Peasy
Both boys will attend a group Science class once per week.
Both boys will participate in an extracurricular field trip group for middle schoolers.
Both boys will learn coding via http://scratch.mit.edu/ and http://learn.code.org/hoc/1
Both boys will learn cursive writing - something that public schools don't teach anymore!
We'll also fill in with lots of reading!
Thing Three: He'll be working on learning via play, play, play!
